The UW IDL’s Partnership Initiative formally bridges research at the UW IDL with practicing architects in the Puget Sound Region. The Partnership serves multi-pronged purposes: helping unite practice and academics, collaborating in teaching and knowledge-building, and developing shared research tools and methods. It serves as a model for how academics can bridge research to practice, creating a forum for research-informed practice and practice-engaged research.
