Michael Gilbride is a Research Associate at the Integrated Design Lab (IDL) and a graduate of the University of Washington Master of Architecture program. Michael provides technical daylighting assistance to design teams through analysis, simulation, and interpretation. His research focus is understanding the interaction of buildings, climate, and human behavior through building performance data. This includes the monitoring, validating and visualizing building data in order to improve the built environment.

Michael also has a Certificate in International Development Management and Policy, and a Certificate in Urban Design. He is interested in examining the role of architecture in social change. Michael graduated from Reed College focusing on Spanish Literature and Political Science.
